Bunny Thumper
I have heard great things about Bunny Thumpers. Was wondering if anyone could give me a specific build.
Thanks

i been running a modified version of the Bunny Thumper ...build dont have a name yet though
1. Favorable Winds
2. Tiger's Fury (or whiling defense)
3. Barrage
4. Savage Shot
5. Comfort Animal
6. Brutal Strike
7. Charm Animal
8. Ressurect (or rez signet)
Im still tinkering with the attributes on it but i have marksman at 15, Beastmasery at 12 and the rest in expertise
Sometimes i take off Brutal STrike and replace it with Preaditory Season

the whole point of using a hammer ranger is for the expertise, high expertise resulting in hammer skills costing 1 energy to use
Quote:

Ranger/Warrior

Expertise: 14 (10+4)
Beast Mastery: 9 (8+1)

- Devastating Hammer [Elite] (Hammer Mastery)
- Crushing Blow (Hammer Mastery)
- Hammer Bash (Hammer Mastery)
- Irresistible Blow (Hammer Mastery)
- Whirling Defense (Expertise)
- Dodge (Expertise)
Fairly nasty hammer build. With high expertise you can spam Irresistible and Crushing all day without breaking a sweat.

Ummm... where exactly is the bunny?
This isn't a bunny thumper build. Its a Ranger/Warrior hammer spammer... (which is still good btw, just not a thumper build)
thumper builds use the pet to do a high amount of damage while you spam hammer attacks with very high expertise....
IMO, this is the best one listed:
Quote:
Beast 10+1+1=12(Sup not really needed here)
Expertise 8+1=9
Hammer=12
Ferocious Strike
Irresistible Blow
Hammer bash
Crushing Blow
Tigers fury
Res sig
Charm
Comfort
|
Good build right here and probably the best you'll see to be honest.

No way. Enraged Lunge is PIMP. 100+ damage every 5 seconds? I think so.

you dont need a pet for a bunny thumper people use the pet for energy from Ferocious Strike its not a "must have" especially when your skills are only costing u 1 energy, We always ran bunny thumpers in Tag yes we used the pet but we used it for energy nothing else, And we got to the gwwc playoffs, now most people only use a pet if they have a smiter to smite of it or as i said low expertise to get energy.
but if your so desperate to have a pet
12 Hammers
8+1 Beast Mastery
10+4 Expertise
Skills:
Tiger's Fury
Ferocious Strike ( better then enraged for thumper but enraged owns for a beast master)
Hammer bash
Crushing Blow
Irr. Blow
Melandru's Assault (massive damage on characters running enchants, pretty decent everything else). can be switched for self heal
Charm Animal
Res Signet

enraged bunny thumpers are <3, esp. silas' build based around 'em..
oyk lightning reflex thumpers are sexier, tho, no 100+ damage every 5s and no corpse, tho, good for non corpse exploit build.. otherwise enraged > * TF/comf/charm +66 dmg, yumyum.

Enraged is good and all with charm+comfort+TF being "batteries" for it, but i still prefer Ferocious because of the adrenaline gain... you can KD more often.

I always play a Bow ranger, i just never use a bow because i think Touches are way better. And it's not a "must have" to have a bow with a bow ranger, even when it sound like it.
Get it?
Bunny Thumpers use PETS, it's not called a Bunny Thumper unless you have a pet!
And if you only have 1 hammer skill, then it's not called a Bunny Thumper but a Beast Master w/ Hammer.

dude i said it was modified and still a work in progress AND didnt even have a name yet
/sighs
Modified means its an alteration of an original concept..therefore will not contain the same elements. I wont bother you with statitics now...just will say my pet and I are ALWAYS the last to die in co-op missions with this testing build

Ruby, i have to agree with Reikai, the build was nowhere near a Thumper. And why do you say you are ALWAYS the last to die? That have nothing to do with a Thumper! A Thumper usually have next to no self heal..

Lol, Ruby I hate to be mean, but I really thought your post was a joke. You aren't even using a hammer man. :-P
My personal preferance is to use no pet at all, as its not the pet giving you energy... its your Expertise that's keeping your energy up. I used to run with Backbreaker, but now I use Shove, which is pretty much perfect for a Thumper; a unconditional knockdown skill that uses Energy rather than Adrenaline.
I run something like...
-Distracting Blow
-Irresistable Blow
-Shove {E}
-Crushing Blow
-Tiger's Fury
-Healing Signet
-Run As One
-Rez Sig
You don't need a pet for e-management because you simply aren't spending all of your energy on anything.

thank gods someone with a sense of the pvp metagame, as i said before bunny thumper doesnt need a pet , people who run pets dont use the high expertise most of the time thats why they use ferocious strike to get energy back, as well as a bit of dmg, but in all honesty a thumper with out a pet is 10 times better

Question about a Bunny Thumper, can this build be used for PvE or is this something for PvP only?

...-_- Ten times better?
Extra free damage shoved at your face. Albeit not much.
I use a pet only because I already have Tiger's Fury, and I have free skillslots.
That's only when I run a bunny thumper. I rarely do.
